The Boys Season 4: What a disaster!
What a total disaster! The Boys Season 4 has so much bad writing and too many storylines just thrown out of the window; characters didn't get justice, but there's not everything bad; Erin Moriarty's nude scenes were good.
There were a lot of giant holes this season, and the fight scene was bad. I really don't know what I should talk about first, but let's start with Stan Edgar.
Stan Edgar just vanished:
In Season 4, Stan Edgar was back just for one episode, and after Neuman saved him, he just vanished and didn't appear at all. There wasn't even any good reason to bring him back; he just needed to tell The Boys the location of a barn, and that's it.
Neuman's death and Zoey:
Yes, Neyman died by the hand of Butcher, or should I say his heart tentacles? I don't know what was going on, but in episode 8, we finally see how dumb the writers are because they completely ignore how powerful Neuman is, and they just ripped her apart like marshmallows.
She was a strong character, but now she is just walking through Burdan, and they had to remove her. But what a horrible death-writing scene!
Also, after Neuman's death, Edgar or Zoey's father didn't show up, which shows how stupid the writers of this show are.
No good fight scene:
There weren't any good fight scenes this season; in season 3, Soldier Boy stole the show, but this season, I don't know if people will be making edits of anyone because there's no content at all.
Homelander was way too confused and childish.
This season they nerfed the homelander, not by power but by his competence, but I guess that shows the level of competence this season. The writers don't know where Homelander is going or what he wants. Yes, at the end, the show completely changes, and in the next season, Homelander will talk about taking control of America, but he was so childish this season, crying and everything, that makes me wonder why they sent Homelander to the lab where he was tortured as a child.
Homelander goes to the lap and kills everyone. After all those years, he remembered the lap and went there, but even after that, his behavior stayed the same; he didn't change a single thing, so I was wondering why he went there because it served no purpose other than showing a lot of gore scenes.
How did Butcher take control of his powers?
Well, I don't know how Butcher found out what powers he has because they didn't show them; he just casually learned how to use them in episode 8 after his fallout with Ryan.
It also doesn't make sense that he killed Neuman instantly; since he is so powerful, he could've killed Neuman at any point; he should've at least listened to her.
A train got justice:
One of the best things about this season was A-Train's redemption arc; it was good to see.
The Deep still haven't used his full powers:
The deep is like Aquaman of The Boys, but he barely touches water; shouldn't we see him more in the ocean, talking to fish and sharks?
Black Noir was very talkative:
Black noir was good at first, but then it got stupid. The silent black noir had that mystery about it that just wasn't with his new black noir.
Now let's talk about Starlight:
She was horrible, yes, but she was so fun in episodes 7 and 8, all thanks to that shapeshifter who got killed by her. I think they should've kept the shapeshifter alive; we could've seen more awesome scenes of her, but whatever.
When the shapeshifter was starlight, that's the only time Annie was fun to look at, but other than that, her character is just dumb and confused all the time.
This season was horrible—just horrible. too many plot holes and bad writing. If they keep these same writers to write season 5, season 5 will be horrible too.
